BLONDE- Grimbergen Blonde is an ochre colored top fermented Abbey Beer with an abv of 6.7%. The use of Gatinais barley combined with carefully selected hops creates a perfectly balanced, relatively light tasting beer with a fruity malty taste. The characteristic bready, fruity complexity of this beer combined with its mellow, rounded finish make it an exceptional pairing for steamed, marinated mussels, grilled lobster tail, and gamier meats such as venison or wild boar.
DOUBLE- Grimbergen Double is a dark burgundy, top fermented Abbey Beer with a full body and abv of 6.5%. The mixture of different malts and the use of dark candy sugar combine to produce a delicious sweet toffee-taste, with a brandy-like finish. The name Double refers to this beer’s strength – more robust than the standard table beer, but not quite as strong as a Tripel. Pair with roasted meats, cheeses, and some desserts such as chocolate.
